MALE MODELLING

We welcome aspiring male models to the London School of Modelling.

At the London School of Modelling many male graduates have won model campaigns for brands like Lonsdale, Criminal, Men's Health, Boohoo and ASOS. See our
PREVIOUS WORK page for the most recent campaigns our male graduates have secured.

There are many opportunities for male models within the modelling industry. The secret is knowing what type of male modelling you are suitable for and then targeting the right brands, magazines and casting directors. This is something we can help you discover.

You may be right for commercial or high street modelling, health and fitness, editorial, high fashion or alternative modelling.

More and more male models are seen on catwalks and in magazines from Vogue to Men’s Health. If you have the look, talent and determination you could be a very successful male model.

If you want to become a male model, you need to take care of your appearance. You should look after your skin, hair and body and exercise regularly. If you are toned with a muscular physique then you could target magazines like Men’s Health. However if you have more of a slight frame then you may be more suited to high fashion brands like Burberry. You need a good versatile portfolio to sell yourself to casting directors.

Male models may also be required to do underwear and swimwear modelling so you should decide early on if this is something that you want to do. Opting out of this type of modelling is not a problem in your journey to become a male model but you should make this clear to your modelling agency so that they do not put you up for these types of modelling jobs.

Being good looking with a good body is not enough to become a male model. You need to be great in front of the camera and look relaxed and confident. This is exactly what we can teach you to do at our Model Boot Camp. You will work with experienced models who will teach you how to find your best angles and work with your assets to create a great photo. If you have dance or sport experience this always helps because it means you are comfortable with moving your body and know how to create good shapes.

Male Models will be required to wear some make up in photo shoots. This will be to even out your skin tone, cover any blemishes and accentuate your best features. Whilst this may be a new experience for you, you must be willing to co operate with the stylists and creative directors and wear exactly what they want you to because after all you are helping create their vision and in turn selling their clothes or products. A good attitude is vital.

We regularly get castings for male models, so if you want to become a male model then register now by filling in the form on this page.

Attending the London School of Modelling has totally transformed my life. Within 2 Days I went from posing like a true amateur to having a connection with the camera and producing model like photos. Since i attended the Model Boot Camp I was signed to an agency and have been cast for a TV commercial with Boohoo.com and am now a regular model for Boohoo. I can’t thank the LSM team enough!

I had an absolute blast during my Model Day at the London School of Modelling. I loved all the make up and preparation that goes into the photo shoots, the catwalk lessons, listening to the mentors and the staff. It was a roller coaster of a weekend!

I had an amazing experience filming for the London School of Modelling's ITV2 show Models Misfits and Mayhem. During the filming i learnt a great deal about myself and what kind of model I can be. The highlight was booking my 1st ever modelling job which was to walk for KTZ in London Fashion Week! Thanks to LSM I have fulfilled my dream!

I thought the modelling school was utterly fantastic. Since attending I have pushed myself and attended many castings.  I have already been booked for my first professional fashion show where I’ll be modelling D & G. I have been practising my catwalk up & down the corridors at work. I can’t believe this is all happening to me!
